"Guidance against wearing masks for the coronavirus is wrong –  you should cover your face. If you can successfully block access to your nose, throat, and eyes, you will avoid infection by the coronavirus, flu, and any of several hundred other respiratory viruses". By Shan Soe-Lin and Robert Hecht, March 19, 2020

Shield against dust, pollen, odour, smog, forest fire smoke, and other impurities in the air. You can place layers of tissue paper in between the mask and your place to increase protection. The more layers there is the more protection. Wash daily with hot water and soap to sterilize. Machine wash/dry, or hand wash/line dry.

To prevent price gouging, each household is limited to a maximum purchase of 6 masks.

This mask has not been tested against pathogens, including COVID-19. Please use at your own risk. To stop the spread of COVID-19, please stay home and practise social distancing first and foremost. This mask is not sufficient for people with a weakened immune system.

Cloth face masks are not as protective as N95 or surgical masks, which we must save for our frontline healthcare heroes so they can stay safe when they save lives. However, cloth covers can still block respiratory droplets that carry COVID-19. They are also washable and reusable, so you won’t run out of supplies. They are also more comfortable and easier to breath through. Cloth masks are better than scarfs or bandanas because they provide fuller coverage and can free your hands for other tasks, such as carrying groceries.
